Ace was a jumper that the owner let go out on trial for 2 months to be sold. He did not sell and and came back to the barn in poor condition. Ace was under weight, had lost a lot of muscle, and had a splint on his right front leg. Due to that the veterinarian advised his owner to give him 30 days off before starting him back in work. His owner had us start doing PEMF sessions on him 1 x per week while he was recuperating. As you can see from the photos even though Ace was not in work, the PEMF, a good diet, and ample turn out, enabled Ace to put on quite a bit of muscle which helped him be much stronger when it came time for him to go back to work.
Gracie is a sweet heart! She is a senior horse (26 years old) that was taken in by a local sanctuary after Gracie had a bad accident that left her partially paralyzed. Gracie ended up with a droop to one side of her face, a hing leg that she would drag, and a leaky bladder. We were asked to work on Gracie to help her build more muscle, since she was losing quite a bit of it as she aged. We did 4 sessions over 6 weeks and not only did Gracie put on more muscle, but the PEMF also helped remedy her incontinence. No more coating her hind end with Desitin!
Flag is a 20 year old warmblood gelding who contracted Pigeon Fever. He got very, very, ill as he developed lesions on his lungs, and abscesses on his muscles. Flag was under the supervision of a veterinarian who put him on antibiotics to help with the bacterial infection. After 2 months Flag had lost alot of muscle and was still showing some signs of lameness in his left hind. His owner had us try the X wings on him to help with pain and inflammation. The amazing thing was how you could actually see throughout his session how his body began to change and "fill out" right before our eyes. The PEMF had an immediate effect on Flag and he looked more hydrated and walked off sounder after just one 45 minute full body session.
This was a Thoroughbred at a hunter jumper barn. When we arrived to work on some of the other horses the owner asked us if we could try to see if the PEMF could help another horse that had broke out with hives that morning. We think that they were caused by red ant bites. We started the PEMF on him and you could see the inflammation going down as he was being worked on. After 15 minutes the hives were almost gone and this horse seemed much more comfortable.
Dash is a Canadian warmblood we worked on in Florida. He traveled from Canada to compete in the jumpers. Dash is a very sensitive horse and the long trip caused him to lose some muscle. We did three PEMF sessions on Dash, along with Infrared therapy. His owner was very happy because she could see that after every session he looked and felt better.
Truly is a beautiful Thoroughbred mare that we worked on in Florida. Her owner contacted us because she felt like Truly was losing muscle over her topline due to age and that the owner could not ride her much during the week. We did 2 full body EquiSculpt sessions on Truly and as you can see she really blossomed. There were no other changes to her feed or exercise program during this time.
This was a senior horse at the sanctuary that we were asked to do some sessions of PEMF on to help him maintain body condition. In these photos you can see how we use the EquiSculpt paddle under the belly of the horse to encourage them to engage their abs and lift their stomach. This type of non concussive exercise is great for building a topline without the stress and strain on the horse's legs.
Eye injuries can be worrisome! This horse is a 9 year old Thoroughbred that is owned by a vet tech. She went to the barn and her horse had a weepy and swollen eye. We were at the barn working on some other horses. She asked if she could try the PEMF on him since it possibly could help with the pain and inflammation. Her plan was to come back the next morning to check if he had an ulcer which would need special meds. We did 6 minutes on the side of his face. Running the paddle around the eye but not placing it on top of it. His owner was so happy when she came out the next day and her cute boy's eye was 100% better!
One of our most exciting cases to date! We were asked to work on a family member who had suffered a debilitating stroke 4 months earlier which resulted in full paralysis of his right arm. His doctor said it was highly unlikely he would ever regain movement in the arm or hand. It took only four session (15 minutes each session 2 x per day) to see the PEMF working. Not only did he start to regain movement in his hand, the swelling was greatly reduced, the temperature of his hand came back to normal and his contracted fingers For this case his aid (RN) used the EZ Model.
